Ru, Su and Tu were companions living in the land of Harmony. Once upon a time they had this interesting trialogue:

Ru: We are perfect beings living in a realm of perfect harmony. I wonder if there is anything other than perfect harmony?

Su: It would seem that if there was, it would have to be something less than perfect harmony.

Tu: Maybe we could create a simulation of a land that would be identical to ours, but would have random elements that are less than perfect harmony.

Ru: Then we could observe this simulation and see how things unfold.

Su: That would be an interesting experience where we could learn something new.

Tu: That certainly seems like a very Good idea.

And so they got to work and created a simulation and ran it and observed it a few times. Afterwards they had this trialogue:

Ru: It is interesting to observe this simulation of an imperfect world with imperfect beings. But I wonder what it would be like to actually be one of those imperfect beings, rather than just observing them?

Su: Maybe we could immerse ourselves in our simulation and become one of those imperfect beings to fully experience what it is like.

Tu: To actually be an imperfect being we would have to be unaware that we are in a simulation.

Ru: And we would have to be unaware that we are actually perfect beings who created the simulation.

Su: If we were unaware that we are the creators of the simulation and thought that we were only imperfect beings, I wonder if there is a danger that we could be trapped in the simulation with no way to return Home.

Tu: Maybe one of us should stay behind to observe and act as a lifeline to insure that the other two return Home safely.

Ru: Maybe only one of us should immerse ourselves, the other two could stay behind as observers, guides and protectors. I would volunteer to be the one to be immersed in the simulation.

Su: Ru, that is quite a sacrifice for you to make, giving up your life of perfect harmony. Tu and I will watch over you constantly.

Tu: And we will give you subtle clues as to your real identity as a perfect being who is experiencing only a simulation of an imperfect world that we all co-created.

Su: And if you are in danger you can always call on us and we will bring you out of the simulation, safely back Home.

Ru: That sounds like a very Good idea.

And so Ru was immersed in the simulation, while Su and Tu stayed behind to observe, all the while leaving subtle clues, eventually guiding Ru safely back Home.

Once Ru returned Home, they had this trialogue:

Su: Ru, welcome Home! Tell us about your experience, what was it like?

Ru: I cannot believe how real the simulation seemed! Even when I picked up on your clues, I still had doubts, because it all seemed so real while I was there.

Su: Please tell us what it was like to be immersed in the simulation compared to just observing it.

Ru: I am so exhausted ...

Tu: We have many questions for you. But take your rest now.

And so Su and Tu carried the exhausted Ru to the sleeping room.
