A definition of ONE (aka God)

i, vic smyth, Read FAQ 'Why does vic smyth use all lowercase letters?' [X] do not claim to be a mystic. But having read books written by mystics, i know that many of them say that God is beyond definition. In Hindu traditions they say, "Neti, neti", meaning "The divine is not this, not that." No matter how we try to define God, we fall short.

However:

Edwin Abbott in his classic book, "Flatland", did a brilliant job of explaining what it would be like to have a 4th dimension of space. He did it by using an analogy that we can understand, showing how a 3-dimensional being would look like to a 2-dimensional Flatlander.

And so i'd like to share a simple analogy of one way to define God.

If you have a group of individuals that are all working together towards a common goal, you have a Team doing Teamwork. In our analogy, Team is a metaphor for God, Teamwork is a metaphor for God's Will. Note also that there is a symbiotic relationship: You cannot have a Team without individuals, and you cannot have a Team without Teamwork.

Now if you look at our world today (or any other day, based on history) you see lots of individuals, but not a lot of Teamwork. What does this say about our world and God? What does this say about the Way back to the Good Land of ONE? Are we waiting for God or a Messiah to save us? Or is it up to us to become a Team and start doing Teamwork?
