To be continued...
And so they started out their day by playing a good game of marble. They especially enjoyed playing marble after it rained when the grass was slippery and there were mud puddles. By the end of the game, they were all covered with mud. So they went and submerged themselves in a nearby pond to rinse themselves clean. Afterwards they dried themselves in the warm sun while they had a picnic. During this time they were all chatting away, catching up on what everyone was doing during the rainy days -- perfect weather to be indoors.
Soon Lu got everyone's attention: Can I have everyone's attention, please?
When they all quieted down, Lu continued: When I came to Ru, Su and Tu's house this morning to see what they were up to, I told them that I had a dream about them doing some sort of new type of daydream. I was going to ask them about it now. Would anyone else be interested in hearing about it?
Nu replied: Yes, I recall that you told us about your dream this morning.
Mu: Did the dream come true?
Tu: Yes, we call the new type of daydream a simulation.
Cu: Whaaat?! A simulation?
Bu: How exciting, please tell us about it!
Su: Ru, are you up to talking about it?
Ru: Sure, there's nothing like a good game of marble to clear one's mind and feel refreshed. But where do I begin?
Tu: Just before Lu knocked on our door this morning, you told us that you recalled that you had a dream about the simulation.
Su: Maybe you could share your dream with all of us?
Ru: It was such a strange dream, I'm not sure that everyone would understand it.
Du: We always enjoy hearing something new!
Mu: Yes Ru, please share your dream with us!
Ru: It was about the religion that I belonged to and how we worshipped God.
Bu: Whaaat? Religion?
Nu: God?
Lu: Hush everyone, let Ru tell his story.
And so they all quieted down while Ru told this monologue: The dream was about the religion that I belonged to in the simulation called the Eighth Day Adventists. We believed that God created the world in six days and that everything that God created was very Good. On the seventh day God rested. As God rested, He fell asleep. As God slept, His entire creation went to hell. On the Eighth day God woke up from His sleep, took a look at His creation gone to hell, and exclaimed,
"What the heck!?!" Then God fixed everything back up again. We were Eighth Day Adventists; we were waiting for the Eighth Day.
After Ru finished, they all looked at each, stunned into silence by what they'd heard.
