Afterwards, Nu suggested having a sleepover, which they unanimously agreed would be the perfect way to top off an enjoyable day.

During the sleepover, as they discussed the plays of their game of marble, Cu commented: Du, you seem distracted, as if something was on your mind.

Du: Yes, I cannot help thinking about Ru's dream.

Bu: Ru, would you mind talking about your dream some more?

Lu: I certainly would like to hear more about it, if Ru does not mind.

Ru: Not at all. Tu, Su how do you feel about it?

Su: As long as you are up to it Ru, and no one else has any objections, I'd be happy to hear more about it.

Tu: Yes, this was such an unusual experience for the three of us, that it's difficult for me to get it out of my mind as well.

Ru: Du, share with us what's on your mind. I'll be happy to answer any questions that I can.

And so they had this polylogue:

Du: I keep thinking about what you said, that you practiced the Eighth Day Adventists' religion when you were young. Since the simulation only lasted a day, what do you mean by, 'when you were young'?

Su: That is one of the strangest things about the simulation. For Tu and I it only lasted a day, and we only observed one day of Ru's experience.

Ru: But for me it was like many, many, many days.

Lu: Whaaat? How can that be?

Tu: When we created the simulation, the being whose role Ru submersed Ru's self in had the memory of a complete life of many, many, many days.

Ru: And so, while I was in the simulation, it seemed like just another day out of many, many, many days.

Nu: But when the simulation ended that evening, you were back here like normal?

Su: When the simulation was over, Ru was so tired and sleepy that Tu and I carried Ru to our sleeping room.

Tu: And Ru slept soundly until late in the morning as we let Ru sleep in.

Mu: Oh my!

Du: So, going back to the dream, did the Eighth Day ever come?

Cu: Or was there something special about that morning that gave you the idea that it could be the Eighth Day?

Ru: No. Each morning we awoke with the joyful anticipation that it would be the Eighth Day and that God would fix everything back up again. But as the day wore on we could see that the world was still a mess, and that God was still sleeping. And so every evening we went to sleep hopeful that the next day would be the Eighth Day. But it never was. After a while we started losing hope that the Eighth Day would ever come.

Du: But Ru, when you woke up this morning, wasn't it like the Eighth Day?

Ru: Whaaat?

Su: Du, what a novel idea!

Tu: We never thought about it like that!

Lu: Ru, what do you think?
